No Youth Group on December 28

A brochure with information about the studies being offered will be available beginning on Sunday, January 1.
Annual Church Meeting Date Announced

This is a great opportunity to find out what 2011 brought to many ministry areas and learn Oakwood’s objectives for 2012. Church and fellowship members will also vote on the 2012 Nominating Committee, nominees for deacons and elders, and the proposed 2012 Oakwood budget. Please mark your calendars and plan to stay for lunch and the business meeting.
Ministry Center Holiday Closures

To receive a tax deduction for 2011, all gifts must be hand-delivered to the Ministry Center by Thursday, December 29, at 3:00 pm, or postmarked by December 31. The Oakwood Ministry Center will be closed on Friday, December 30. Thank you for your financial support – we look forward to what God will do through Oakwood in 2012!
Christmas Eve Offering – Hunger Initiative 2012

On February 25, twelve churches, three packing organizations and thousands of volunteers will join together to pack one million meals for the Horn of Africa. Oakwood will be partnering with Bridgewood and Brookwood churches at a site in Shakopee. Youth Group Christmas Party

What to bring: some Christmas cookies, a wrapped $5-$10 Christmas present, and an item for the Waconia food shelf.

Empty Nesters’ Potato Bar

You are invited to a craft night where we will make these lovely coasters shown below. Just bring 6 of your favorite pictures (make sure these are reprints). If you have an extra stash of 4×4 or 6×6 tiles you are willing to share, please give Paula Goy a call. These will make great Christmas presents. There will be a small charge for the supplies we will have on hand. ($3.00)
